Ceremony Highlighting the Sister City Casablanca – Miami-Dade Project
The Casablanca Mediation and Arbitration Center (CMAC) participated in the working meeting held at the headquarters of the Casablanca-Settat Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, dedicated to following up on the implementation of the memorandum of understanding previously signed with Miami-Dade County in the United States. This meeting was part of the efforts to develop a cooperation roadmap for 2026.
The meeting provided an opportunity to evaluate the progress of the agreed commitments and explore the prospects for a strategic partnership focused on supporting economic actors and strengthening trade and investment exchanges between the two parties. Participants highlighted the central role of the city of Miami as a logistical hub connecting the American and Latin American continents, as well as the importance of consolidating the “Made in Morocco” brand in the U.S. market.
The logistics aspect was also emphasized as a key pillar of this cooperation, including the proposal to establish a direct maritime route between Casablanca and Miami, along with the presentation of the planned modernization projects for the Port of Casablanca in 2025, covering port infrastructure and services.
Furthermore, the main lines of the regional strategy to attract U.S. investments were presented, relying on incentives offered by the new Investment Charter, while reaffirming the strategic positioning of the Casablanca-Settat region.
CMAC - The Casablanca Mediation and Arbitration Center (CMAC) is an independent and neutral institution that offers conflict resolution services to businesses, associations, and individuals.
